Sounds Like
"Lisa has a truly lovely voice, her soaring range went through the Firebug ceiling! Along with Mel's constantly sympathetic violaings this was a really beautiful set. She has a totally off the wall range, love it, a female Jeff Buckley indeed!" - Kevin Hewick; Factory Records.
"Like a sensual massage for my ears" - Andrew - Aconite Records.
"When you sang, it was like sex coming out of your mouth" -Robb Lavington from Mables Husbands.
"Haunting and evocative songs in a crystal clear voice. Beautiful singing and masterful evocation of mood, her set was laden with artistry" - Leicestershire Arts.
"Gotta say absolutely beautiful voice, best performance i've ever seen at The Musician, and i go quite a bit.. Moving on is completely epic" - Joe Morrell.
"Your voice is like a slow walk through a foggy , mystical place, like something out of a story book" - Jason Williams.

Sometimes a melody, a rhythm and a chord change can just break your heart. There’s no words to describe that.
For Lisa, music is about release, passion, escapism a source of strength and a way of expressing those thoughts and feelings she just cant put into words. Its about the love, the hate, the fine lines in between, the small moments, the big moments, beauty, pain and joy.
For the past ten years Lisa has played guitar, bass or sang in various bands right across the country from Punk to Alternative Rock, Blues to Hip Hop. Always being drawn back to the simplicity and beauty of the acoustic guitar and voice.
Last year Lisa put her previous band efforts to one side and wrote only for the acoustic guitar.
The continuing outcome of this was an unexpected amount of gig offers, press coverage and sessions with both BBC Radio Leicester and BBC Nottingham.
Lisa continued to gig throughout 2008 almost three times a week, gaining a small and loyal fan base and attracting the attention of Leicester’s Pink Box records.
Growing up listening to everything from Joni Mitchel to Led Zepplin, Nick Drake to Nine Inch Nails, Lisa evolved a style as diverse as her imagination and tastes. The results are uncompromising and accomplished.
Lisa's live sets tend to silence audiences. Her classically trained seemingly unrestricted voice has drawn comparisons to Jeff Buckley, PJ Harvey and Johnny Cash. With words that are provocative and powerful, bound to heartbreaking melodies that are indelibly etched into your brain and stir the soul.
Recently adding double bass and electric guitar to her live sets, the sound can range from whispered vocals over intricate lilting acoustic guitars, to rolling heartbeat rhythms over white noise.
Not what you expect of your average female singer / songwriter. But then Lisa never was your average singer songwriter.
