Lisa Donovan Lukas is a composer, musician and songwriter, who has written scores as well as songs for movies, television and her own CD recordings. Her music has been licensed for film and television use in projects around the world.
At the age of 5, Lukas began her studies of music with her next door neighbor -- a piano teacher and high school music teacher. At 17, she went to UC Berkeley to study music. She subsequently went to the University of Southern California to study composition, conducting, and orchestration -- and graduated from USC with a degree in music composition. To support herself, she played the piano and sang in piano bars and ballroom dance bands. After graduation, she went to work as a music copyist and proofreader for Universal Studios, Warner Brother's, Sony Pictures, Disney and Joann Kane Music Services before composing full time and starting to score films.
In addition to her work in film scores, Lisa has written several orchestral, chamber and vocal works that have garnered praise and attention. She has also written many works for solo piano as well as popular songs, both music & lyrics. Lisa has won Composer Today awards (2008, 2009) for her solo piano pieces: Summer Dance, Goodnight Sweet Dreams, Lyric for Piano, A Song From The Garden and Waiting.

You will never be lonely,
when the moon does shine
You will never be sad,
when happiness is in your heart
Because then, and only then,
will you feel the warmth upon your shoulders
The hint of sunlight in your hair,
the touch of truth upon each breast
You will never be alone,
when your hand is held tight
The touch of skin, upon your flesh,
a softness only you can feel
When in all, you will stand alone,
yet, not, and neither be lonely
You will never be alone, because of your heart,
when the moon does shine, all will be well
Hi Lisa. We have been a little busy lately and haven't been writing as much. But anyway, how are you? Still getting out and walking your "pups?" Hope the rest of the week goes well for you! Keep being an inspiration to so many! Fun-loving Mikey and Brody
