Lisa is singing all of the female background parts on Highway 51's new album (2008) by Blueboy Records (Blueboy Records of Memphis, TN is owned by Carl Wise) and is currently recording backup parts for Marsha Jewell's debut album.
Hi everybody! I am a Memphis-based singer/songwriter who sings lead as well as backup vocals. I sang ALL of the female backgrounds on Highway 51's newly released album available at www.blueboyrecords.com. We recorded it at the legendary Willie Mitchell's Royal Studio and had a blast - those guys are awesome! Congratulations to Carl Wise on the new album! I have been working on Marsha Jewell's debut album recorded at the same studio. I am also working on my Spanish skills so I can record a crossover album at some point in the future. Hang out here and look around, listen to songs, leave me a comment - welcome!

Can I show you something perhaps you’ve never seen? Can I show you beautiful beyond your wildest dreams? There is a place not far from here, a place I love to go. If you’ll allow me, close your eyes, and this place I will show. There is a quiet heartbeat in rhythm with the snow, gently beating just for you I want you to know. There is a simple tear drop that falls with the rain and in this simple teardrop washes away all your pain. And then there is that light of the eye shinning like the sun, warm embrace, a touch of grace as we take off in a run. Now dancing in the spring just like the seasons before, we love, we laugh, we hug and fall, and then we laugh some more.

I cannot tell how infinite the thought that carried me beyond these dreams. Its whisper broke the silence that always seems to scream. I started this journey in hope to find truth behind the veil, but what I found is past my understanding of just how deep the well. In this fragile state of mind I caught a glimpse of light. It danced, it laughed, it hugged my heart all in the blink of an eye. Making strong from circumstance and with a love just right, I can face tomorrow now, for in this peace I fight.

Past the sliver called today on the edge of tomorrow where dreams are made I venture through shallow streams in hope of finding the river deep. I plunge head first into these thoughts, unraveling the mystery that I have sought, to see the picture crystal clear, the face of my precious friend that I hold dear. And when the fog rises with the dew I will not stop in my pursuit, for lonely and fear stay on the roam, but here in my heart you always have a home.
I carefully consider my words as I paint this portrait grand, for no amount of beautiful can really explain my friend. I peer into the deep where thoughts are born and breath, soaking in every word that whispers for me to keep. I long for more… to know this precious soul, to bring the sun and a happy dance through this open door. Sometimes sorrow seeps where the lonely willows weep, but the shallow ground that is seen through the surface is never the heart I see. So I will paint this portrait grand in hope the world sees how beautiful… how precious… you really are to me.
