Lisa was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, which is an awesome place that doesn't get enough credit. She started performing at four years old when her mother put her in acting classes. A few years later, Lisa was offered a spot on a nation wide commercial for toilet paper. However she refused the role because she didn't know what she was going to be forced to do involving toilet paper infront of a camera, and her mother wasn't a stage mom. It's been all down hill since then.
Lisa started taking voice lessons and realized that she could carry a tune or two. She did some professional theater/music work in Cincinnati and also competed in a few musical competitions where she surprised herself with how well she did. She did lots of theater/band/choir stuff in high school, but it was her time freshman year of high school in jazz band that probably had the biggest effect on her. It wasn't that significant, but pair that with some voice lessons singing out of the Gershwin songbook, and Lisa decided she wanted to do something sort of like that.
At 18, she left Ohio for New York City to attend the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. She's studied/worked with some people who's names might be impressive to some of you for different reasons, but for the most part it probably doesn't matter - so why list them.
After spending a few months living in Prague, Lisa is now writing original music and singing around New York.

Ok, well keep me posted. I'll definitely come see you perform if I can. Work is alright - it's as good as it gets right now. I'd love for you to come visit, a lot of college kids like to hang out in my store. Either way, I hope to see you soon :-)
Hey, sounds great! I don't think "Blindfolded" is from vocal rhythm section though, I'm pretty sure there's a guitar in there and we didn't have one of those.
