Kate Bush, Prince, Dave Grohl, Tracy Chapman, Joni Mitchell, The Lakes Blues Band, JJ Cale, John Martyn, Jeff Buckley, Janis Joplin, Nina Simone, Beck, Dylan, Matt Johnson, Sheila Chandra, Radiohead...I like too much music in too many genres to know what has influenced my own music.
Started penning tunes a while ago but ones that counted since 2004, gathering courage while jammin wi Iona Marshall as 'Soul Alba'. When Iona went on her travels along her own road, I kept playing and gathered enough stuff to make an album 'Hello' with the essential guidance of Dave McGruer (recording, mixing, bass, graphics and patience) and rhythms of Stuart Clark (every percussion instrument under the sun!).
Currently singer, guitarist and co-songwriter in TOWNHOUSE with Stuart Clark and John Farrell (and keeping pretty busy thank you) most of the new project sounds appear on the band page - www.myspace.com/townhousesound. Check it out as there are a couple of fresh recordings for your pleasure x

Welcome to a night of varied music, performed by a number of talented 1st and 2nd year students at Edinburgh Napier University. The evening will feature a selection of pieces composed by the students, under the guidance of tutor Ged Brockie.
