Playing her unique style of what she calls homegrown roots music, Lisa Phenix and her band are what good times are all about. With musical influences ranging from folk and blues to jazz, this young lady can play anywhere.
Cuts from Lisa's latest CD, "Homegrown", have received warm reception and airplay throughout Northern California, including KPFA and KVMR. It has also been heard in Alaska and the Netherlands.

Hey Sac friend,
Crooked Roads hits Sacramento this Thursday, April 19 at Marilyn's. We'll probably play around 10. We've got a new pedal steel player, Stephen Silver, a veteran of the touring bands of Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard among others. We're also lucky to have the venerable and rocking Sac. drummer Frank French sitting in with us. Hope you can make it!
Pushtunwali opens at 9 and The Mighty Josephine plays after us around 11. You can check them out at
www.myspace.com/iankellermcglone and at www.myspace.com/josephine.
We had this awesome CD of childrens music for awhile but now can't find it. Were pretty sure it's from you. We can't remember the name on it, but it sounds just like you.
