If you like the music that I am making and want to participate in my creative endeavor by contributing some money I would be ever so happy. If you contribute $15.00 or more, I'll be happy to send you a signed CD once it's done and I'll give everyone updates on the recording process. If you want more information about the CD I am recording, you'll find it here http://www.lisarichardsmusic.com . I also have a bunch of other pre-buying and sponsorship options on my website.
Thanks so much!!

Born and raised in Far North Eastern Australia, Lisa left the small town tropics at 21 and headed for the city of Sydney where she began performing. At first, she sang acapella on the streets and eventually with her band The Cavers in Sydney Clubs and along the east coast of Australia.
Lisa re located to New York City in 1993 where she settled in the East Village and began writing songs and performing in many of the down town clubs including Tramps, The Mercury Lounge, Caf Sine, CBGBs and The Bitter End.
In 1997, Lisa completed her first CD, Not Quite So Low which received very favorable reviews in Billboard and Relix magazines as well as many other local and regional publications in the US. The CD received notable airplay on college and Public radio stations across the U.S. This CD received 270,000 plays on the now defunct MP3.com site.
Lisa moved to Austin Texas in 1998 and since then has toured both with her band and solo through various parts of the U.S. including the east coast and the west coast
Colorado, Louisiana and of course Texas. She has showcased at SXSW and has received numerous acknowledgements of her singing and songwriting skills, being named finalist in The Billboard Song Contest, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and the Rocky Mountain Folks festival (twice) and The Chris Austin Songwriting competition at Merlefest 2003
In May 2001 Lisa released a new Album titled Undergroundling. This is a collection of songs from studio and live performances. It includes tracks produced by Mitch Watkins and Gina Fant Saez.
In September 2001 Lisa and Jeff went home to Australia They spent 2002 in Australia touring.
The CD Fragments of Truth was recorded with Barbara K of Timbuk 3 in 2003.
Mad Mad Love is my most recent CD. It was completed late 2007. I recorded most of it in New York with my good friend Tim Bright. Tim is a wonderful fella...very talented. I took him a bunch of mostly incomplete songs and together we whipped them into shape. There are some very classy fellas playing on it ....Tim Bright of course...John Deley on piano and keys (from Dido's band...) Dan Rieser on drums (he played on Norah Jones' first CD, he plays with Jesse Harris and with Jim Campilongo in NYC) , Tim Luntzel on upright Bass ( He played on the last Bright Eyes CD and a bunch of other stuff), Jeff May on Electric bass and Alan Bezzozi on Percussion.
I did a couple of songs in Austin with Craig Ross ( who Produced Spoon and Patty Griffin) and a couple with Billy Masters (who most recently was Suzanne Vega's guitarist) in New York sending files back and forth from my Mac to his. I did 1 track at home with Jeff May. He's my hubby. So it's been a very diverse project.
