my mom and dad.. mom and dad raised 6 children with little education.. no college. But missunderstand.. he is a VERY SMART MAN.
They are survivers, they are strong, they are generous.
My dad built the house we grew up in, put in the electricity and waterlines himself, worked hard in the swamps raising crawfish cages (which he and mom made. He added rooms as needed as more children came along.
My MOM? where to begin, she is the warmest sweetest soul I know.. she started very young raising a family, thats all she ever knew, never been anyplace in her life, never on a plane. train. Very simple woman. I learned she LOVES the casino just like me!
We had everything we could want or need as kids, a parent always there when we were home from school, home cooked food on the table, lots of love.
My dad follows current events through newspapers and tv and reads...he repairs everything himself, hunts and stores what they eat.... what an incredible way to grow up as a child.. he shares food he hunted and cooked to others... very generous man. WHAT A GREAT COOK AS WELL!
I am so BLESSED to have the parents and family that I have.
We were taught to work for what we want, DON'T BORROW.. DON'T STEAL. If you can't afford it, Save your money until you can pay for it... OTHERWISE....YOU DON'T NEED IT!! Great advice dad!
