  • Bio

Lisa Safran, a self- taught musician, began composing music at an early age and went on to musically accompany improvisation comedy groups which led to performing improvisational comedy and stand-up throughout the states and Canada. In 2004, she collaborated with the poet Naomi Ruth Lowinsky and developed music and arrangements for several of her poems from the book, Red Clay is Talking (published 2000 by Scarlet Tanager Books). After surviving the Tsunami in 2004 while on holiday in Thailand, Lisa moved to Thailand in 2005 to teach. There began her love for the guitar and like the piano, she quit lessons after about 3 months and jumped into composing her own pieces. In 2007, Lisa moved back to San Francisco where she began working with Chris Faust, guitarist extraordinaire. Chris Faust is a musician, songwriter and master of the acoustic guitar. He enjoys living in San Francisco and collaborating with other Bay Area artists. The projects he has worked on span everything from folk to rock, solo performances to full blown musicals. .. .. .. Hi Lisa,

Nice to finally meet you and hang out Saturday night. I really liked your songs, and really glad we both decided to play, even though we were both really wiped out. :) Patrick left for Vegas this morning. I'll pass your message along to him. He said he hasn't checked his myspace page in years!

    Stay in touch, sis!
