My earliest memories about music begain with my mom bringing home a hifi and 45 records,mostly Motown. My favorate memories about music begain with my older brother Ty. We loved to listen to music and discuss all the cool things about the songs we liked. That we would do up until he left this world.
We watched Ed Sulivan when he had the Beatles on for the first time. We thought that was amazing.
Ty loved to act like James Brown and I would be throwing my bathrobe on him so he could throw it off and do the mash potatoes.
When Ty was Ten my mother walked across town and bought my brother his first guitar.Thus begain Ty playing amazing guitar and me being the chick singer who would write the songs. We fell in love with music and it would become our whole reason for living.And Ive never known anyone who could play like him.Nor anyone who gave his love of music so completely selflesley.
So here I am Ive been writing and singing and playing my guitar professionally for 20 years.
Ive been blessed to have opend,or recorded and performed with the worlds most loved musicians.Including B B King,Sheryl Crow,Dixie Chicks,Gillian Welch,James Taylor,Lucinda Williams,Al Green,Joe Cochker,Jerry Goodman,Alex Acuna,Jimmy Crespo, and many others..
I've won some local awards(San Diego Music Awards) and a National award.(National Womens Association Living Legacy Award)
