Lisa was born in Toronto, Canada, and has been singing live and recording in New York City for over 15 years, collaborating with producers such as Miguel Migs, Dave Warrin, Dave Warrin and Jay Denes, king Britt, Scott Hardkiss and many others. Since 1994 she's had over 30 songs released with labels like Naked Music, Om, Salted, RCA, Grand Central UK. Ministry of Sound, Virgin UK, Astralwerks, Nrk and WAVE
Lisa has received rave reviews and features in The New York Times, CMJ, Muzik, URB, The Canadian National Post, Billboard, XLR8R and many others. Madonna even paid tribute to her song“ Always” in Rolling Stone and proclaimed Lisa to be “So Cool!” Throughout her career she’s strived to show her diversity and love for all music and the combination of genres. Though best known for her " Deep House" she's written and recorded styles in jazz, down tempo soul, broken beat, folk, rock, drum and bass or any combination there of. Over the last 6 years Lisa not only has performed globally with Miguel Migs but also with Andy Caldwell, Fred Everything, Dj Jask and JT Donaldson.
"Cherry" her debut solo album featuring producers Eric Stamile (Speakeasy), Jay Denes (Blue Six) and co-writer Dave Warrin was released on Naked Music in October 2005. After spending a year touring in support of "Cherry" Lisa has recently started another tour with Miguel Migs in support of his newly released album titled "Those Things". They're presently gearing up to perform many festivals and clubs with there live band over the next year.
