Lisa started her professional career at the age of 14 as a fearless double pedal rock and roll drummer for the band "Sister.' Adept at voice and guitar as well, her original music is clearly influenced by her percussion sensibilities. Her experiences growing up in a chaotic musical family in the 1970's is also evidenced in her music and humorous and touching performances. She is a Washington Area Music Association (WAMMIE) Winner, Kerrville New Folk Finalist and a Mountain Stage New Song Finalist. Her music has been played on National Public Radio and "Traditions" with Mary Cliff. She has recorded with local legends Tom Prasada-Rao and Andrew McKnight as well as dozens of other independent artists whose work appears in film and television. Her new album "True North" has been nominated by the Washington Area Music Association as Album of the Year for 2008.

Great being only 5 minutes from Nissan! Living life through the nieces on their stays with me. Heading off for my first real vacation in a while - a 10-day medieval camping excursion - unplug from the real world for a while. :)
