With her rich voice and strong original songwriting, Lisa Theriot, perhaps better known as Mistress Adelaide de Beaumont, enriches the great bardic traditions of the past. On her latest CD A Turning of Seasons, she not only strengthens old ballads with original music or lyrics (as in "Portmore Lament" and "Lady Isabel and the Elf-Knight"), but also incorporates an interesting array of timeless modern songs like Joni Mitchell's "The Urge For Going". A sure favourite!
Lisa (as Mistress Adelaide de Beaumont) performs within the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) historical re-enactment organization, and her CDs are produced by Raven Boy Music (www.ravenboymusic.com).
OK, I'm still in the studio, but the new release date has slipped to March 09. I know, I know...sorry about that. But we had a choice: release Samantha's CD AND mine in August, and have two so-so CDs, or delay mine until the spring, and have both CDs be (potentially) great. We chose the latter;).
Hi. I'm in the studio. Ken and I have been so busy doing voice-over stuff that music has been on the back-burner, but I promise the new CD will be out by August!
Hi guys! I'm so sorry it took me so long to get to this (6 months!!?). I'm still trying to get the hang of the MySpace thing. Anyway, we have added Hallow's Eve to the player now. So sorry for the delay!
Hey Lisa, any chance you would load "On Hallow's Eve" on your player?? I have a friend that just loved that song.. and we would love to have it as our song on myspace. :)
