SUPER LISSAJOU RELEASE REVIEWS:
Lissajou - You Remix Kisses mini cdr- You didn't know the humble Nintendo Gameboy could,
with the help of programs like Nanoloop or LSDJ, be used as a powerful and versatile
musical instrument, did you? Neither did Lissajou, apparently. Instead of the glibly
charming kitsch one might expect from an 8-bit outing such as You Remix Kisses,
Lissajou solders the Gameboy's most irritating bleeps onto a jacking, Chi-house
framework which'd have Steve "Silk" Hurley spinning in his grave, were Steve "Silk"
Hurley actually dead and stuff. If this CD were an NES cartridge, it'd be Kid Icarus,
as listening to it makes me feel every bit the way digital Greek godlings must after
being transformed into dancing vegetables by the Eggplant Wizard. With any luck,
it'll do the same for you...-Symbol zine
Lissajou "Spooky Spooky" CDr- Like eating a box of nerds they taste so dam good, and there are so many of them, and you really want to finish the box, and when you do you are happy to have had the chance. - Gaybomb
Lissajou "Spooky Spooky" CDr- Lissajou's latest album, titled Spooky Spooky, features his sexy, nerdy compositions, some of which really move. What were once videogame sound effects come together as tinny grooves, odd patterns, and melodic "verses" and "choruses". To explain further would be fruitless-just call it funky fresh noise loops that make you want to dance like a robot. - Kara Pound/Folio Weekly
thanks for your jubilant contributions! we're stoked that you wanna promote our music (: (: (: because all we do is tell people how much 8bit azz you kick every day!
How odd, I was going to post a clip of the new dance show on my profile, but with them dancing to "Blow Your House Down" by A Guy Called Gerald. I've been obsessed with it for months :D
So, our Darkwave @ 331 appearance approaches. We must holler digits at one one another through an electronic messaging system, so that we can find in each other in the real life concrete jungle of Jax town.
the stick is frankincense; yes, the fishnet gauntlet has been worn occasionally in glam-goth moments, along with black leather pants and rubber shirts. (btw I really gotta kick out of your Tom of Finland Tree-of-Life. )
