I finally started being more serious about my faith when I realized I was not a walk-the-walk Christian. There is a difference between accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and accepting Him as Lord. I finally realized, on February 14, 2008, that I had accepted Him previously as my Savior, but that I was not following Him as Lord. Finally, I began a process of surrendering all to Him on February 14, 2008. That was, in a sense, a new beginning. On that day, I became "Reborn a Carrier of the Glory--a carrier of His glory. Like physical growth, spiritual growth doesn't all happen over night. It is a process that begins at the time of salvation and continues until the disciple goes to heaven. God has always been really merciful with me, patiently keeping me safe, and patiently waiting for me to realize the difference between accepting Jesus as Savior and accepting Him as Lord.
