HISTORY
LISTEN CLOTHING

Established in August of 2001, by The Revelli Bros., two enthusiastic vinyl collectors and music lovers.
Born in Lima, Peru; raised in Southern California.
Everything began with one mix tape given to Renz by J-Rocc. It was sometime in 1998, the tape was Madlib€™s first remix of hip-hop songs from various artist. It started with the sample of The Watts Poets called LISTEN.

"listen...listen...hear us now... listen...listen... we ask you....now listen..."

"This intro got stuck in my head, ever since." Renz stated, ;Rich and I opened a printing shop in 2001, we started to print for clothing lines, mainly the friends we work with and network with. We began working with various coorporations, independent companies, artist, musicians, etc."
During our time of creating and working with clients, one of our friends (an up coming designer from Bellflower) named Kaboe, told us:


We jumped into the idea, and he helped us create the logo and some ideas to get started, we got to it in no time.
By August of 2001, LISTEN CLOTHING was born, we had our first marketing ad on JOINTZ magazine, at the time it was the second issue.

LISTEN CLOTHING has always been inspired by the music we listen to and the legends we respect worldwide. Our huge collections of vinyl recordings and archives have contribute in the creation of our designs and ideology of art. We are very inspired by the old sounds of cultural music from various parts of the world.
Our aim is to create extra awarness of the roots from the music we love and to keep learning and bring to the light original art that inspires us and the world, for a better overstanding of who we are and how we are represented.

LISTEN CLOTHING takes pride in every step of the journey; from the quality of our garments to our content of images. We remain unique and rooted in doing what we love to do. That is our reward and response to the repetative influence of negative impressions that battle for our attention on a daily basis.
