Bittersweet punk folk phazed into electric drone...dense water and occasionally coming up for air
New Album POW BANG
"Pow Bang" is the album of an artist totally at one with her writing. It's an album that asserts it's self. It's not aggressive, there's no need to adopt a faux accent to try and make the songs sound somehow more sophisticated, the songs speak for themselves. There's a real drive to both the narrative and the music, that powers the album forward. It hints at post punk in attitude, it has a swagger that's not arrogance, more entitlement. - Fatea Magazine

Some reviews:
"The sound is remote and distant but you are drawn close to hear its intimacies. There is no ice queen here to trick and deceive for the sound has its own magical qualities that will tempt, beguile, enlighten and you will stay a while to listen, whilst the sound will stay with you." - Biddle Bro's. 2007
"Most of the songs on "It's Not You" clear the five minute mark. The epic "Fabricate" clocks over 11. None of them sound a second too long. Listen Lisse's songs feel they've been lived in like a favourite jumper. There's a couple of holes in it, but there's too many memories and too much character to do anything other than wear it again" - FATEA 2007
“Listen Lisse returns with her delicate guitar sounds complimenting her laid back voice.”
-The Spitz, June 2005
“There is some kind of delay on the guitar so that she can pick out guitar lines over the dying sustain, and it reminds me a little of Durutti Column. Lisse conjures some captivating moments.”

How are you? How are things, music, love, food? I keep on flying from one place to another this year. and it's been fun fun fun for sure. I barely spent any time in London this year. In Nice now visiting mama. Will head back to London for a week in December to see my beautiful charming man Devendra Banhart playing the Shepards Bush Empire... I changed phone number again, but I will get in touch as soon as I am solid and back in England for good. I should be moving to Glastonbury in January.

I'm happy to announce that my new album "Songs From The Films Of David Lynch" is out now.
"Truly unsettling and perplexingly brilliant... testament to both the quality of Lynch’s soundtracks and Truax’s talents" - The Skinny
"Truax is paying homage to a kindred spirit with this album. It's the best kind of tribute – affectionate and respectful, but with its own quirks and imaginative leaps and its own distinct identity." -The Scotsman
