Tristessa is a rock band from Los Angeles; led by singer/songwriter Jude Hernandez, the songs are a blend of alternative and psychedelic rock with lyrics that define every emotional moment in your life, Tristessa is on the verge towards something special.
The debut album, LISTEN TO ECHOES, is sure to place Tristessa as a staple in the alternative music scene.
This collection of 11 songs is packed with heart-wrenching melodies and a guitar that bleeds soul (The Independent Scene). Working with producer Lior Goldenberg (Neil Young, Oliver Future) the album is a tour-de-force of lush, tripped-out ballads to warped out guitars that will keep you listening over and over again.
Jude picked up the guitar while traveling the United States and Canada playing collegiate and professional baseball. Learning the songs of the Beatles, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, and the Verve he soon started to write his own material to fill the time of the long bus rides and living in hotel rooms. When he realized he could go no further in his athletic career, Jude focused on song-writing full time and began performing in the Los Angeles area. He soon met top musicians and headed in the studio to record a full-length album.
Tristessa is currently playing shows captivating audiences through out Southern California. Performing songs from Listen To Echoes and new material, Tristessa’s performances are not to be missed.
