Main influences on trumpet are Miles Davis, Tom Brown, Eddie Henderson, Clifford Brown, Fats Navarro, Arturo Sandoval, Donald Byrd, Dizzy Gilespie, Jon Faddis, Freddie Hubbard, Kenny Dorham, and Blue Mitchell, and of course Wynton Marsalis. I love listening to and playing jazz....really dig musicians who are able to showcase their talents without becoming a parody of what has come before.
Liston William Bailey founded Destiny Consulting Group (DCG) in 2006. As an organizational development consultant, he advises non-profit, government, and business organizations as they work to develop organizational capabilities around strategic and productivity goals. Liston earned graduate degrees in the fields of education and organizational development. His primary consulting activities focus ..ing organizations in the areas of executive coaching, team facilitation, conflict resolution, diversity management, and process improvement.
The focus of DCG today is on facilitating self-discovery processes for people, aimed at helping them to make better career and life decisions. DCG has carved out a niche for itself as a small consulting firm by building relationships, partnering with organizations to work on transformational leadership questions, bringing clarity to process improvement issues, and by teaching the principles of customer relationship management.
--------Liston is also an accomplished musician, having started playing trumpet at the age if 12, while growing up on the island of St. Thomas. He has performed as a featured artist at the North Sea Jazz Festival (Holland), Montreaux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Peruglia Jazz Festival (Italy), and Klaipeda Jazz Festival. When not pursuing business interests, Liston performs as a freelance musician around the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
