Thanks!
The six members of South Florida’s THE MIRACLE YEAR (formerly Lithium)are on a mission to effect the lives of listeners through their words and music. Initially founded in 1999, these classically trained rockers came together creating a distinctive sound that is equal parts punk and pop with occasional Ska-like horn blasts and other island textures. Incorporating influences from groups such as Yellowcard, Less Than Jake, New Found Glory, Blink 182, Dr. Dre and a variety of other mediums including literature, film, and social movements, THE MIRACLE YEAR take on the pop-punk idiom is precociously unique.
With only a few years under their belts, THE MIRACLE YEAR's list of accomplishments is impressive, and they have already shared the stage with national performers including Lit (RCA Records), The Aquabats (Nitro Records), Streetlight Manifesto (Victory Records), Against All Authority (Hopeless Records), The Planet Smashers (STOMP Records), MU330 (Asian Man Records), Voodoo Glowskulls (Victory Records), and The Toasters (Moon Ska Records).
Reception to their recordings has been overwhelming, and their ability to craft the perfect pop song, as apparent in the 2006 release “Taking Center Stage,” has lead to radio play as well as a strong following on college campuses. Further, their resume is already adorned with an impressive list of accolades including “battle of the bands” victories in 2004 and 2005. These guys know how to rock a live show!
Where the future is concerned, LITHIUM plans to continue their endless process of musical and individual growth while taking their music to an increasingly growing fanbase. With five never-released songs already written and arranged, expect a new album in the near future, and for the latest in music, gigs, merchandise, and other news, be sure to stay tuned to their myspace!
