Nick Cairl plays the drums, and Emma Turnquist plays the keys and sings and dreams of octopuses.
And Alex Card, the bassist, too. But we don't have a photo of his head.
"Emma Turnquist and Nick Cairl aren’t your average, ordinary, recently-arrived-at-university musicians. With Little Boxes, the group they formed as teenagers at Mounds View High School in Arden Hills, they produce some of the most infectious gems this side of Mates of State — though, as you’ll soon find out, these college freshmen are getting sick of being compared to that other boy-on-drums, girl-..boards indie pop duo." -Matthew Perrine, the Duluth Budgeteer
hey let's play a show and lets have it be over winter break and tentatively, a new year's eve show? if not, between the 21st and the 2nd? eh? I don't really know where it would be, but I think i might try to call some venues or something. Otherwise we could just try to find a house.
ahaha, i know. and he's usually the weirdest one. i THINK i can e-mail those pictures to you, but if not, i can have my mom e-mail them to your mom, or you. doesn't matter.
Yes lets! I had been trying to put a show together at the 7th street for us, you guys and another band up until recently but then we added a new member. So now we're sort of re-writing old songs and adding new ones. But we should probably be ready to play soon!
