I read "Little Brother" at the same time I was reading the September 2008 issue of Scientific American... the issue devoted to "The Future Of Privacy."

The really scary part of all this is, there is not much in the way of technology in "Little Brother" that you won't find discussed as science FACT in Scientific American.

I miss the days when our government was here to help the American people, not to spy on them for no good reason except that they have the capability.

And to think, it was only eight years ago that this came to be! If it continues, imagine what America will be like twenty years from now.

Now THERE'S a scary thought worthy of Stephen King.

I've read your articles in Locus, but this was my first exposure to your fiction. It was a most enjoyable, if frightening, experience.

Little Brother need to be in the hands of every young person in this country. They're gonna' need it for the fight they're up against.

My newest favorite book. You came to my school and talked about it and you were signing copies, but I didn't have any money at the time, so when I went home I downloaded the book on my phone and I read the whole thing in about 4 hours. Then the next day I brought money and I got a signed copy and I read it AGAIN! It's one of those books that you want to read over and over again.
