Little Buddha are a songwriting duo from Scotland. Founded by vocalist Kat McDonald and bassist Grant Tyrie, various carnations have evolved and revolved and some dissolved throughout the years.
Little Buddha have gigged extensively up and down the UK, including a sell out headline Club Fandango gig at Mean Fiddler's BORDERLINE, London and a headline gig at KING TUT's in Glasgow.
Throughout their musical excursions they've supported The Grim Northern Social, The Kevin Mark Trail Band, Polysics, and The Delgados and enjoyed a loyal following.
After a horrendous car accident where the bassist Grant Tyrie and previous guitarist were seriously injured, regrettably Little Buddha had to step down from the UK gig circuit for 18 months.
However, this recovery time provided time and space for Grant & Kat to write their debut album, TWISTED (which will be out spring/summer 2008).
This album was recorded, produced and mixed at THE DOGHOUSE STUDIO near Henley-On-Thames.
In summer 2007, Little Buddha took their album to STERLING SOUND in NYC to be mastered by the master of mastering engineers, Ted Jensen.
Their visit to the Big Apple has generated industry interest in the USA.
Sadly, the new year saw their split from Molotov Records, through irreconcilable differences, followed swiftly by the departure of Iain Fugue as lead guitarist, and then Kevin Guthrie (drums).
In February 2008, Little Buddha (Kat and Grant) signed a synchronisation deal with a company in Canada - a company who supply music to EA Games, OC and One Tree Hill to name but a few... so WATCH THIS SPACE...!
April 2008, saw the final sheep in the original flock (Ewan Gibson) to quit.
SADLY, due to family illness, Grant and Kat will now be taking some time out to be with loved ones.
However, TWISTED, their long anticipated debut album WILL STILL BE RELEASED - OFFICIAL LAUNCH date to be announced-
WATCH THIS SPACE! Little Buddha are planning to a series of gigs in the future, but due to family commitments and priorities, these may not be until later on this year.

Enjoyed the gig last night. Thought it was going to be crap atmosphere wise, but they warmed up to you. Was good to see a live band not playing the usual stuff for a change. I'd definately go see you again. Good luck for today.
