Welcome to the MySpace page for Little Dog Records Established in 1993 by Grammy Award-winning producer/guitarist Pete Anderson, Little Dog Records was founded as a label dedicated to cultivating and recording the best in "roots" music: country, rock, honky-tonk, folk, and blues. In a landscape where the major labels are stagnating creatively and struggling to reinvent themselves, Little Dog Records is giving voice to a series of inspired artists and putting the emphasis back on the music. And who else better to serve as the creative "heart' of Little Dog than Pete Anderson? As a producer, Anderson is responsible for recordings that have sold over 30 million units worldwide. His groundbreaking work with Dwight Yoakam helped ring in the "new traditionalist" movement in country music - while crossing over to a wider audience in the rock, pop, and blues worlds. He has also been responsible for highly touted projects by such artists as Roy Orbison, k.d.lang, Flaco Jimenez, Buck Owens, Lucinda Williams, Sara Evans, Jackson Browne, Jim Lauderdale, Rosie Flores, Michelle Shocked, the Meat Puppets, the Lonesome Strangers, and Thelonious Monster, among others.
