Sounds LikeLovely relaxing harp music, songs on guitar often likened to early Bowie or Donovan...other comic socially critical songs often likened to Monty Python or Ray Davies of the Kinks My comedy is more storytelling than stand up as is in the tradition of Dave Allen!!    About Ken Parsons, Bard
“ KEN PARSONS is a Celtic Harper, singer and allround entertainer. What can you expect? Beautiful harp songs, deadly witty short poems and crafted original songs in every posible style, funny, moving, thought provoking” .................................................................................................................... .................................................................................................................... This review was written at one of London’s most prestigious folk, poetry and music clubs, namely, The Troubadour. It is is very fitting that a venue with such a name should have hosted him as he is, indeed, a well-traveled bard, harpist, scholar, poet, songwriter and linguist with 5 languages under his belt and two more on the way. ................................................................................................................ ................................................................................................................. ................................................................................................................... He was born in Plymouth on 30th April 1968, Bealtaine’s Eve, year of the monkey, the figure 8 round the moon and the month of revolutionary student activity in France. His father was born on Plymouth’s Bretonside and, fittingly again, it was the music of the legendary Breton, Alan Stivell, that inspired Ken to take up Celtic Harp. Ken has is now honoured to be a regular guest of the storytellers at the famous Interceltic Festival in Lorient, Brittany. He has produced two lovely CD’s of harp music: “Home is where the Harp Is” 2001- produced by colleagues of George Harrison. “Celtic Harp Favourites” 2007 - Folk-tunes in his own inimitable flourishing style. TO ORDER HIS CD'S IN EUROPE and the UK VIA "PAY PAL" CLICK THE VISA/MASTERCARD LOGO or write to kenparson@gmail.com Ken has performed thousands of shows at venues and festivals big and small all across the UK, Europe and Ireland. He also employs his music in social projects for children, the bereaved, the handicapped and disabled. He is a trained linguist and so you can expect beautiful lyricism alongside cutting delivery in his songs, poems and stories. ................................................................................................................. ................................................................................................................... He is no stranger to the professional comedy scene and although music remains his first passion he has been known to have a laugh or two up his sleeve. For many years he honed his talents and accrued his tales and jokes as rock musician, busker and entertainer in pubs and clubs in London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Vienna, Spain and Ireland. These days he prefers to perform harp music, his stories and his own songs in nearly every musical style but he may surprise you with a few old faves from his extensive and eclectic repertoire of covers and evergreens. A troubadour indeed! ..................................................................................................................... He plays in all sorts of venues: art fairs, the street, corporate, weddings, parties, clubs, pubs, squats, gyspy sites, creches, theatres, festivals. He plays many very rewarding concerts in all manner of social projects: for the handicapped; for toddlers and children (www.memorabelemomenten.nl); and at funeral and memorial concerts (www.allerzielenalom.nl). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ................................................................................................................... He also plays gigs of cover and folk songs from his repertoire of 300+ songs. PUB AND CLUB OWNERS CAN BOOK HIM write to kenparson@gmail.com ......................................................................................................... ................................................................................................................... He hosts an "ACOUSTIC TALENT NIGHT" once a month at TWSTD in Amsterdam, CLICK ON THE GIG TO SEE THE EXCELLENT LINE-UPS Ken is also a writer and is working on a book of busking/travel stories and poems called "On the road and in the scene". Lived 7 years in Berlin, 2 years in Ireland, now based in Amsterdam where he has two great sons He often plays Celtic Harp Saturdays at the Organic Market, Noorder Markt and Sundays at the Art Market, on the Spui Square, both in Amsterdam.

UNIVERSE

Comparing the solar system to an atom, the earth is an electron.

How do you feel being one among zillions of inhabitants of an electron?

Comparing one atom to the solar system, each electron is a planet.

How do you feel being a universe?
