For four decades, Little Feat has been billed as one of the best live rock n’ roll bands ever. They also remain one of the most active. Little Feat is Paul Barrere, guitar and vocals; Bill Payne, keyboards and vocals; Fred Tackett, guitar/mandolin/trumpet and vocals; Richie Hayward, drums and vocals; Kenny Gradney, bass; and Sam Clayton, congas and vocals. Since the band was formed by Lowell George in 1969, Little Feat has always has been well received by fans and critics. But for most of its existence, the band has never been exactly mainstream. Nonetheless, Little Feat has survived and thrived under the radar because its music is important, influential and has tremendous multigenerational magnetism. The band’s lasting appeal among fellow musicians – both individually and collectively – also is unmistakable. They are pros’ pros and have collaborated with icons such as Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, Bonnie Raitt, Robert Plant, and John Lee Hooker. They also have toured or worked on albums individually with the Doobie Brothers, Pink Floyd, the Allman Brothers and Ringo Starr. Their presence in rock is important and someday – hopefully soon – Little Feat will be inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
been a fan since way back when U got framed... U MADE IT thru thick'n'thin & I still Lve 'n' respect ur unique sound. My band salutes from Rome, Italy!!
I just wanted to thank you boys for a great show at the Canyon Club Thursday night. It was an awesome set that seemed extra special although I'm sure after 40 years of grooving you guys knock it out like that every night. It might of been because it was my 40th birthday and even the biker t-shirt I got seemed made for the occasion. The set included many of my favorites,Willin, Six Feet of Snow, Time loves a hero, Spanish Moon were all super sweet. Great job by all, especially Gabe having to fill some big Feats with Richie's' absence. The sound was great and I can't wait to catch you guys at a more intimate venue. Working on talking the wife into the Jamaican excursion that's got to be a fun party. Thanks again for the musical therapy that gave me a break from my blue collar cell and made a day I was ready to forget one I will always remember. Have a great tour fellas sharing those magical healing vibrations across the world.
