After 9 years Little Fish Big Pond called it a day. The 4-piece band originating from Tunbridge Wells in Kent, played a mix of original rock/pop music with strong melodies and hooks, and contemporary covers.
LFBP gigged regularly around Kent and the South East , the band has released two self-produced CDs, In the Can (2002) C.O.D. (2004) and EYE CANDY (2007) and a 4 track e.p FISH FLAKES (2009) which is available to download.
Little Fish Big Pond was formed in 2002. The line-up consists of Daren Sears (lead vocals & acoustic guitar 2002-2009), Craig Forster (electric guitar and vocals 2002-2009), Mike OHara (bass guitar and vocals 2003-2009) and Martin Webber (drums and vocals 2005-2009).
All four members of the band contributed to the songwriting progress, bringing a wide and varied range of musical influences from across the entire rock, pop and indie spectrum. The music is dynamic, powerful and energetic.
HIGHLIGHTS for 2007 were opening up for THE COUNTERFIET STONES (shame it wasn't the genuine article) at the MMM Festival , headlining PARTY IN THE DARK run by Fishbowl Acoustic and it proved to be one of the best ever and in acoustic mode we supported MILES HUNT of The Wonderstuff at The Forum ,Tunbridge Wells . Also numerous acoustic gigs at Paul Dunton and Friends plus Fishbowl Acoustic. In 2009 they headlined Local&Live on the Friday night being their last gig together..........or is it?
We are taking a break and who knows!!!

Fishbowl Acoustic Showcase returns to the Foyer Bar of the Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells next Saturday, 6th December.
This month’s candle-lit electro-acoustic show features Ric Blow, Little Fish Big Pond and the LayLanas.
Ric Blow (www. myspace. com/sympatheticstrings) is an acoustic singer/songwriter from Brighton. Fishbowl aficionados may remember the last time he played, back in 2006 with Sympathetic Strings. His sound straddles the Anglo/Americana stratosphere and is predominantly acoustic based with a rich, textured sound. It is laid back, melodic and fun....Lyrical, memorable and hope-filled. Expect lots of fingerstyle guitar and quirky, oddball lyrics.
Little Fish Big Pond (www. littlefishbigpond. co. uk) will be making a welcome return to the Trinity to play an energetic mix of new material and old favourites. Most of you probably know who we are by now – Daren, Mike, Craig and Martin... ‘nuff said!
Headlining the show is Brighton-based band The LayLanas (www. myspace. com/thelaylanas). Fronted by Lana McDee and Sandra Lea, the band combines lilting melodies with poignant lyrics set against a backdrop of acoustical vibrancy. They have received a number of rave reviews recently, with their music being described as “lively, colorful, and full of secret sounds and harmonic energy”.
Doors open 7:30pm, music starts 8pm. Tickets £6 (adults), £4 (under 14s) from Trinity Box Office on 01892 678678.
Just a note to say thank you very much for your set on Saturday. You went down very well and I've had really good feed back about it! I'll let you know how much we have raised when we know. Thanks once again.
Smoke Feathers have been invited to play at the INDY Music Awards media launch and short list announcement party on Wednesday April 2nd 7pm at the Rock Garden, Covent Garden, London.
It’s no guarantee that we have been shortlisted for the final, but we hope it is a good sign....
