Formed in the summer of 2005, littleGENIUS have been constantly working on a catologue of original material in their own studio (the Yard) in the Red Light District of Birkenhead, Merseyside.
Eclectic, quirky, melodious. Three words that give a flavour of what littleGENIUS is. Their songs are fresh and original but freely acknowledge inspiration from such legendary bands as The Beatles, The Kinks, The Beach Boys, The Small Faces, 10cc and The Beatles (They believe you can never overuse that first and last name). The diversity of the individual band members songwriting add to a rewarding listening experience ranging from the tunes displaying gloriously unashamed pop, music hall influences, ska tinged, thus leaving no stone unturned.
LG spent a year locked in their studio working on material before stepping out on to the live stage in October 2006 to promote their debut e.p 'INTRODUCING...littleGENIUS', (which featured the tracks 'MISTER SOMEBODY', 'RIDE A BRAIN DAMAGED DAY', 'ISOLATED INCIDENT' and'(IF YOU'RE) HOPING TO TRY'). The guys put on their own night and word of mouth saw a 300 capacity venue packed out @ 370 (don't tell Health & Safety!)!
LG then followed up with a second e.p ('ANOTHER THREE NOTES FROM...littleGENIUS') in February 2007. This featured the songs 'DAREDEVIL BLIND', 'RHEANNA', 'CHARMED' and 'ALL YOU PEOPLE (NEW UNIVERSAL PLAN)'
During 2007 littleGENIUSstormed the best venues around LIVERPOOL and MANCHESTER, with the odd excursion down south to LONDON and upgrading their studio bringing in the best recording equipment (thirty two and six daily for a Dansette Cassette Tape Recorder) they could afford, in order to re-record their original songs and give birth to even more of thier little darlings.
Now in 2008 they seem to split the time between their exuberant live performances, crafting new music and making wierd little videos!

That's a shame for you to have cancelled your Carling gig. That would've been a great opportunity 4 u fella's. 2 get in front of new audiences and be heard by a new crowd of people and me of course. Wasn't to sure sure about other bands. The one before you, looked like they didn't want to be there, aside from the lead singer. It seemed the rest of the band were disconnected from him, like they were heading in a different direction. And when you fella's came on the atmosphere of the room completely changed. You have the power, Genius's!!! Ha! Ha! Dancing Girls is still your best song by far could be a single!!! maybe your first!!!!! Over + Out Rocker dudes!!!

I was indeed :D I was very impressed by your music. I thought the balance was great (particularly the harmonies) and I found it great when your lead guitarist played the solos in a manner that was sort of like:
'Yep. I'm playing a solo. Not too bad this place. I see people in front of me. They seem happy. It's all good!' :D Lol.
