About Little Red Suitcase
Little Red Suitcase is a band that delicately mixes improvised music, cabaret and theatre live on stage. With simple stage effects, a lot of instruments and crazy mic..ing, they are a live performance full of surprises, finurlige stories, expanding into many musical styles and genres. Spiced impro, cabaret and theatrical elements are part of their stage performance. Their attitude communicates directly to the audience … oohh yer, Spanish, German, French, Danish and English lyrics are part of the multi lingua universe.
The band’s two members originally met in Copenhagen, but Little Red Suitcase was born in Zarautz, a small village by the Cantabric sea in Spain during an improvised jamsession, during »the hours of the siesta« on
july 2005. Since then, Little Red Suitcase has played concerts in Norway, Greenland, Spain, Germany, USA, Holland, Sweden and Denmark. They have thrilled audience in clubs such as The Stone in NYC to B-Flat in Berlin. At the Chilida Leku in San Sebastián and back to JazzHouse in Copenhagen.
Their debut album, ”They’ll know much more than we’ll never know,” was nominated in 2007 in the category »Best vocal jazz release« at the Danish Music Awards.
”Temporarily Out of Order”
– the latest album from Little Red Suitcase – was released in October 2008. The album has received a price from The Danish Arts Council and is again Nominated in the category »Best vocal jazz release« at the Danish Music Awards 2009.

Hvide prinsessekjoler fra det lyserøde pigeværelse konfronteres med store oliefedtede svensknøgler.
Duoen Johanna Borchert og Elena Setien alias Little Red Suitcase leger med sømandsharmonika og barklaver på et album, der midt i sin nysgerrighed og sin Björkinspirerede hvisken lytteren porøse poesibogsnotater i ørerne fremstår uhyggeligt finpudset og velproduceret. Det må virkelig have taget tid at sætte disse 15 vokale og instrumentale diamanter fast de helt rigtige steder i diademet.
Udspillet er ambitiøst. Og vellykket. Skævheden slippes løs i langsomme fortælletempi. Om det er en gal hveps eller en økologisk høne, så er de to kvinder i stand til at sætte sig ind i dens kringlede tankebaner.
Leg og alvor mødes med efterklange af Beatles og Sgt. Pepper, mens brede korflader smaskes op over for præpareret dukkeklaver og porcelænskopper i miniatureudgave.
Resultatet er prinsessejazz fra et dukkehjem, hvor Nora for længst er gået hjemmefra. Svensknøgler og hvide kniplingskjoler er til for at blive klasket sammen i et pigeunivers, hvor skæve sammenstød er dagens uorden.

GRIND-O-MAT! Die Bremer Elektropunk-Legende DAS GRIND lädt seine Freunde zum Spielen ein! Nach dem durchschlagenden Erfolg der "Goldenen Grind Gala" im April 2009 wird nicht geschlafen, sondern eine noch großartigere Großveranstaltung zum Thema "Grind" nachgelegt. Zu erwarten ist ein unvergesslicher Abend voller Eindrücke und Emotionen. Da Das Grind - bekannt für musikalische Stilsicherheit und kultivierten Kunstgeschmack - höchstselbst für Gestaltung und Programm verantwortlich ist, steht dem gepflegten Abschwirren in bizarre Trash-Welten nach Abdrückung des unschlagbar günstigen Eintrittspreises von 5 Euro nichts mehr im Weg. Mit von der musikalischen Partie sind die belgischen Sexpunk-Göttinnen und -Götter von ELECTROMO, die Berliner Chartpopper MITTEKILL und die Bremer Szene-Newcomer BATARI. Überraschungen und Specials stehen natürlich auch auf der Tagesordnung. Abgerundet wird dieses Festival der Grindiositäten durch ein Bühnenbild samt Visuals der Bremer KünstlerInnen Patricia Lambertus und Eyke Schröder.
