Brief History: Rowan Fraser (AKA Little Row) was born in the small town of Kentville, which is in the heart of the valley of Nova Scotia. Showing musical talent early Little Row’s mother put him into piano lessons at age 4. He went on to compete never placing less then 3rd. He won Best Composer In Nova Scotia out of 1000 children ranging from the ages of 4 to 12 at the age of 7. After leaving the practice of piano at the age of 11 Little Row then learned to play the Tuba for the school band. Little Row played the tuba for 7 years.
At the age of 13 Little Row began to write rhymes as a hobby. He eventually met a local aspiring CEO. Together they formed the valley of Nova Scotia’s very first hip hop label, Trusouljas Records. Using a computer, cool edit pro and a computer mic, Little Row recorded his first amateur LP entitled It’s My Time. This album got him recognition through out the valley with its street anthem Holla At Me. Self promoting, pressing and distributing Trusouljas Records and Little Row sold 150 copies to date.
After complications with the label Little Row left in January 2004 seeking a new company to push him. In January Little Row made contact with Halifax based ECMA nominee rapper J Bru. After making a song with J Bru, Little Row hooked up with J Bru’s imprint Bru Print Entertainment. It was this time Lil Row changed his name to Little Row. While always being associated with Bru Print Entertainment, Little Row is currently signed to Nova Scotia label Street Diesel Entertainment, and is one of the hottest artists to bless hip hop.
Little Row has been involved in shows with hip hop and punk/metal bands such as: The Game, J Bru, Classified, Jordan Croucher, DJ IV, Jay Bizzy, Johnny Hardcore, Sko Shun Tiez, Scrimage, S-Class, T-Bone, Killa Clown, Shane C, Kaleb Simmonds, South Shore Sound Squad, Tha Redlinaz, Big J, A Deeper High, Kill The Messenger, The No Slugs and Scallywag.
Little Row already has tracks produced by Juno Nominee/Much Music Video Award winning Classified and Urbnet Records/Universal Records recording artist J-Bru.
Little Row has also picked up the turntables and is now also known as DJ Little Row. He is currently Street Diesel Entertainments in house DJ.
Little Row has also started up his own crew aptly named Real Talk Entertainment that he plans on bring to the top with him.
Now that Little Row has the advantage of not only being a rapper but a DJ as well, sky is the limit for one of Nova Scotia’s brightest prospects.
