Bjork, Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart, Port Royal, Murcof, Patrick McGinley, Vashti Bunyan, Joceline Colvert, The incredible String Band, Lau Nau, Tim Coster, Animal Collective, Sufjan Stevens, Billie Holiday, The Tiger Lillies, Peggy Lee, Madonna, Christine Hill, Lucia Pamela, Dabrye, Seize the Day, Four tet, Kid Loco, Efterklung, Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Janek Schaeffer, AGF, 1920s french accordion music, Jann Tiersen, twinkle twinkle little star and other tinkly, bell-like sounds. The Magnetic Fields 69 love songs is perhaps my favourite record of all time; every song on it is a gem... but DJ Shadow, Massive attack, Bonobo, DJ Shadow and loads of others I've forgotten in this moment have been important influences... I love immersing myself in the blissful music of Bonobo's Animal Magic, and also in the lush tones of Bjork's Vespertine... last night I enjoyed Ray Lee's Siren in the Shunt Bar, London. My favourite radio show is the Framework show on resonance FM (field-recordings)
LOVE IS AWESOME OPENS ON VALENTINE’S DAY IN READING, BERKSHIRE
Artists Felicity Ford, Rachael Matthews, Stavroula Kounadea and Emmylou Laird are opening their show on Valentine’s day 2009 to offer new perspectives on the idea that LOVE IS AWESOME.
LOVE IS AWESOME is a mischievous, offbeat celebration of the awesomeness of love. Featuring Relics of an Awesome Love knitted in stone-like yarn by Rachael Matthews, an informative Love documentary (Love-U-Mentary) by performance artist Stavroula Kounadea, various, completed Love Assignments from Felicity Ford and assorted works by Emmylou Laird, the show will help you to consider for yourself the proposition that LOVE IS AWESOME.
LOVE IS AWESOME promises to be a surprising antidote to the asinine syrup of Valentine’s day and a marvellous tonic for the heart.
WHERE: You can see LOVE IS AWESOME at Gallery 10, 10 Gun Street, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 2JR
WHEN: LOVE IS AWESOME opens for cake and wine on February 14th at 6pm. Bring a bottle. Show remains on until 28th February; check gallery for opening times.

Hi gorgeous, congrats on the 5km, serious resepect! I could manage that far walking, but running, nah! Tara's got me too wobbly with chocolate cake. Dylan Moran, yes, he's a funny man. Nephew Stephen's a big fan - we were talking about Dylan at his ma's 40th birthday murder mystery weekend a couple of days ago. Stephen's having his 21st in August, time flying. But I do prefer Tommy Tiernan myself . . . ya have to laugh. See some of my work at http://www.flickr.com/photos/biodsnapshot/

wooly speakers, who would have thought?
I'm still a massive fan of your work Felix and I love you dearly
I was singing your praises last night, remembering how hands-on you are, how focussed you are, how you would stay up all night to finish something, miraculously surviving on hippy tea and fags. Always the stuff you produced was top class, beyond my comprehension
