.....A record of growls, squeaks, Sufjan-like choruses, complex wordplay and schizo-jibberish, tied together with cascading melodies, mandolin, banjo, accordion, rock & roll drums, guitar, and the wildcat snarls of these 3 Muppet-esque freaks. "Child Bearing Man" is commanding, emotionally and musically conflicted, and utterly moving.
