If the world is about to "rediscover the beauty of songwriting" we should not miss out one of the most talented and interesting musicans of these days. Here we go: Kyle Field aka Little Wings.
His music isn't slick, it has got rather the rawness of a diamant. Just like songs by bands as Palace, Catpower, Smog or even lately Devendra Banhart. Little Wings is a diverse musical palette Kyle Field uses to paint stories with sound. He discribes himself as a person, "who is writing songs and records them and put them out as recordings under the band name "Little Wings.” I see it as an ever-changing art project where I can take on different identities and roles with associations with those around me. I don't have band practices very much. My band always changes. I don't travel with equipment, equipment is everywhere and so I borrow whole band's gear in order to do live band sets".
One of Little Wings biggest fans, Devendra Banhart invited Kyle Field and his friends to join his latest Europe tour as his Backing Band.
Kyle Field, aka Little Wings is a wandering musician who has collected different people over the years to record and put together his menagerie of Music. Many of his Songs flip-flop back and forth between old school country wing and atmospheric electronic, low-fi slow songs. The combination works to its best effect lounging in your room in the waning hours of the afternoon.
