All we want is what's beyond thunderdome--a hero gets the job done. personal safety is an afterthought. A hero takes risks but is not impulsive or oblivious. Anyone can be a hero. Fifteen minutes of fame is not required, and the sage despises praise (TTC). I highly respect those who have suffered child abuse or neglect, mental illness or substance/alcohol abuse, serious disability, severe oppression, overwhelming loss...and gone on to lead fulfilling, productive, and impactful lives. It would be impossible to list all those who have gone beyond the call of just existing-both those famous and unknown-overcoming great tragedy,enduring prolonged suffering, accomplishing the formerly impossible, and those who have gifted the world with such excellence in their fields, strength of human character, depth of sacrifice and love-the folks who continue to shine their light, bringing inspiration,beauty, and hope to us all.
For me the first person who forced me to be conscious of the vast world beyond my own selfish concerns-the first time it actually dawned in my developing mind that greatness and sorrow both await each of us-and that a few of our lives-our character, our strength, and our weaknesses-may affect millions. That individual was Christa McAuliffe, the first Teacher in space with NASA, who lost her life while my elementary school classed watched the Challenger shuttle explode on live television. Many other significant events would mark my early life-the falling of the Berlin Wall, the San Francisco Earthquake, the beggining of Operation Desert Storm, the LA riots, the HIV crisis and the end of Aparthheid in South Africa. The public school teachers who helped save my life-who also introduced me to native american genocide, black slavery,the bloodshed of our own Union/Confederacy conflict, the liberation footage of German death camps, and the heart-wrenching personal narratives of Hiroshima victims.In a small classroom in a tiny all white town I got a taste of blood in Pol Pot, Rwandan villages, Birmingham school marches,mass environmental destruction/wholesale extinction,& an individiual brave enough to stare down a tank at Tianneman square. I will forever be in their debt.
We must always remember that we owe our lives and the triumphs of our civilization to those who have gone before.

Just wanted to give ya an update on what I'm doing:
This July I scored a weekly at Mad Myrna's featuring Mad Mike & a new Special Guest DJ ea. Night, 21+ every Saturday from 10pm till' close!
August 1st we are doing an Outdoor Festival, "Yes" w/ multiple genre's of music, games, rides, clowns, face painting, an obstacle course, you name it!!
Mid-September I'm bringing up Digital Bill, more details T.B.A. in July!
