"Who did that track"? Is normally the response given after a person hears a song that Queens native Big Drew produced. Big Drew has been a strong force within the Underground Hip Hop scene. His style of beat making is so diverse that it prohibits anyone from putting him into a box. Big Drew was born and raised by both parents in Coney Island, Brooklyn N.Y. along with one brother & sister until he reached the age of 6.
At this time his mother decided to move out to Queens, N.Y. shortly after his father passed away from being a heavy drinker and smoker. This is also around the time Big Drew started to be exposed to many styles of music when he visited his great aunt & uncle that also lived in Queens. They listened to alot of
carribean music that would also later influence Big Drew's diverse perspective on the music genre. As years passed, Big Drew began cultivating his talents as a force to be reckoned with.
He has produced tracks for K. Sparks, Nova, Angelous, and Duality to name a few. When he is not traveling on business, Big Drew is in New York on his grind. "I do it for the love, music is my life...period". Big Drew is certainly a major talent to look out for.
