About me:
.. .. .. ..

Hello And Welcome To My Myspace Page

My Name Is Thomas Lierzer

And I Am A Retired Executive Chef

After 22 Years In the Restaurant And Hotel Business
Working  All Over Europe And The United States
I Settled Down In Connecticut With The Hope Of Living The American Dream.

My Story Is Not Like Anyone Else, I was born and raised in Austria. In 1995, after working in different European Countries, I was looking for a new life and career somewhere else and outside of Europe. My Goal was to immigrate and settle down in a Country of my choice. I believe everyone should have the right to live wherever he or she pleases.

My Choice was easy, since i was a kid i was fascinated with the United States of America. For me it was a "No Brainer".Putting the wheel in motion it took about 3 months to work out all the necessary paperwork and off i went.

I secured myself a Position as an Executive Chef in Vail, Colorado. And for those who have not visited Colorado yet, i must tell you, it is one of the most beautiful places.

5 years later I decided to move again and I thought to improve my English, especially the English slang, i ended up in Atlanta, Georgia. Which was a challenge on its own. I thought back then that my English was very good, but boy was i wrong. Atlanta showed me how much I really knew.  I learned  that no matter how well anyone speaks the language, if you can't understand people from the South, your English is not that good.

2 years later, I moved to Connecticut. I knew when i moved that my career as an Executive Chef was coming to an end due health issues. That was the time when i seriously started to look into new Opportunities. In 2007 i thought i found my niche, which was in Real Estate to be more specific Tax Foreclosures. I founded my first Company which i still run and I went all over the States to buy Property. It was as easy as whipping Mayo from scratch.

Everything went well, I had a very nice inventory of Properties and was ready to make the switch into the world of Self Employment.Little did i know that the country was just a year away from going into a depression and that the Real Estate Bubble would burst.
Lucky Me.

I had to shift all my energy to something completely new and different.I had to find a way to make money, you see at that time i had retired from my 100 hours a week job and carrier.
I started to research  opportunities working from home and also went to a few seminars. There was not really a good Product or Company i wanted to represent or sell.. A few months later I did find a perfect match.  But in reality it was difficult for me to make the sales i needed.

I can blame anything or anybody, but it was me who was to blame. The whole idea about having a home based business was to work from home. But it is harder for some. For me my biggest challenge was generating cash flow for my business.I was terrified that i would lose my business and i had to improve my skills and knowledge once more to finally get to the level I wanted to be.

Never less, I did that and the rest is history. I now can say, should someone ask what i do for a living, that I work from home and I make a good living doing it.

Now Is That The American Dream I was Talking About, Let's Just Say It Is The Beginning And I Hopefully I never Wake Up!

How Can The Retired Chef Help You?

"Your Own Way"
by Wes Fessler

When every will and thrill has gone,
you have to change or just move on.
You cannot live without your heart.
For what is life, to play a part?
When you don't have a joke to tell,
and all you do is scream and yell,
you need to step aside and see
your life the way it ought to be.
Are things worth getting stressed about;
worth causing you to wail and pout?
Weigh every loss against each gain.
Don't let each day be full of pain.
You have to do what you enjoy,
for in repression there's no joy.
So seek your dreams where they may go,
and when you catch them, you will know.
The will and thrill will come again.
You'll find your happiness and then
your heart will be in all you do.
You may just tell a joke or two.
Do what it takes, don't waste away.
Give life your best in your own way.

Finding Your "One Thing"

In the movie City Slickers, a group of friends take a “vacation” at a dude ranch. Curley, played by Jack Palance, is a crusty yet wise old cowboy who shares the following with Mitch, played by Billy Crystal:
Curley: Do you know what the secret of life is?
Mitch: No, what?
Curley: This. (Holds up his index finger.)
Mitch: Your finger?
Curley: One thing. Just one thing. You stick to that and everything else don’t mean [anything].
Mitch: That’s great, but what’s the one thing?
Curley: That’s what you’ve got to figure out!

Great scene … great advice. Leaders have to figure out the One Thing that defines a meaningful purpose for their teams. The One Thing should answer the question Why are we here? You may think that finding that focus isn’t critical; but in fact, it’s essential to your success. The most important thing in business (and life) is deciding what is most important.

Your team’s One Thing might be: producing defect-free materials; providing the fastest service available; developing leading-edge products; creating relationships that customers cannot walk away from; or meeting the technology needs of other departments. These are just examples – your One Thing has to be your One Thing. And it should guide all of your decisions and actions.

Even after you find your One Thing, sticking to it can be a challenge while you put out fires and explore new opportunities. Don’t be tempted to think, as some do, that you can keep piling on initiatives and still maintain your team’s focus. You may find yourself in the middle of the “Ship is Adrift” Syndrome. Instead, consider automating, streamlining or outsourcing areas that are not core to your team’s operation.

A laser-sharp focus does not happen overnight. It takes time and effort to refine, reinforce, and communi-cate your One Thing. But you need to start now. Blurred focus creates confusion – resulting in diffused employee efforts. Stay focused! Remember Curley!

1. A mission statement causes you to expand your perspective, and to examine your innermost thoughts and feelings. In this process you clarify the purpose of your life and identify what is really important to you.

2. Writing a mission statement is much like a treasure hunt in that it helps you to uncover talents, interests, and your deepest desires.

3. A mission statement forces you to clarify and express succinctly your deepest values and aspirations.

4. A mission statement imprints your values and purposes firmly in your mind so it becomes a part of you instead of something you might have thought about just casually in passing.

5. The integration of your personal mission statement into daily and weekly planning gives you a tangible method of keeping your vision constantly before you.

6. A mission statement is the beginning of personal leadership. It sets parameters and guidelines for how you live your life.

7. Writing a mission statement forces you to think deeply about your life. And the best way to internalize your mission is to re-write and refer to it continuously.

8. At some point in life, everyone longs for a sense of meaning and purpose. A mission statement helps you to uncover talents and contributions that reveal your very reason for existence.

9. Crafting a mission statement allows you to connect with your own unique purpose and the profound satisfaction that comes in fulfilling it.

10. A personal mission statement helps you to address three important questions: What is my life about?, What do I stand for?, What actions am I taking to live what my life is about and what I stand for?

Life is a journey through many terrain
From gardens of pleasure to deserts of pain

From an ocean of love to a jungle of hate
From Mountains of glory to canyons of fate.

There's a highway for joy and a highway for sorrow
A Road for today and a road for tomorrow.

So choose your path wisely and walk with care
If you follow your heart, you'll find your way there.

I've been to the garden and planted seeds there.
I've been to the desert and felt the despair.

I've swam in the ocean and drank of it's wine
I climbed up the mountain to touch the sky.

I went to the canyon and started to cry
I've traveled both highways, both today And tomorrow.

I've basked in the joy And wallowed in sorrow.
My Path has been chosen and I've walked it with care.

I followed My heart and I'm on my way there

So I'll just keep walking till I find what I'm after.
To Mountains and oceans and Gardens of laughter.

Hi there,

I hope you are having an awesome week. I just got back from a nice stay in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico....it was awesome!

The extremely cool part of the trip is that while I was enjoying myself at a private villa, my online business was generating huge profits for me.

In fact, I was able to generate more income in the 4 days I spent having fun in the sun than I ever could in an entire month slaving away in Corporate America.

I'm on track to becoming one of at least 100 Millionaires by the year 2012. You can choose to become one of them too.

Feel free to check it out if you like, if not, that's okay too. :)
