NOTTING HILL ACOUSTIC SESSIONS @ blagclub..
The blagclub in Notting Hill Gate has hosted acoustic nights for eight years and counting... Located in the heart of Notting Hill, literally ten steps from the tube station, we provide an intimate and cosy club, ideal as an acoustic setting.
THE DEAL
We ask all acts to bring a minimum of 15 people. This is to create the best possible vibe in the venue. Plus, the more you bring, the more you get paid. And we also get to sell more drinks!
The door charge is £5.00 per person. You will receive £3.00 per person. You will be paid your door monies at 11.00pm.
Each act is required to send their guest list to us by midday on the day of the event.
THE FORMAT
All acts to arrive at 7.00pm for sound check. If you are late you will not get a sound check.
The runnning order will be determined on the night.
Each act will play one set of 20/25 minutes.
Doors open at 8.00pm so please do ask your crowd to arrive for 8.00pm sharp!
The last act must be finished by 11.00pm.
DJ's provide party atmosphere for everyone to carry on partying until 1.00am.
THE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
Our Notting Hill Gate license only allows a maximum of three artists per act, and no amps and no drums. We are not permitted to have live music after 11.00pm.
None of these conditions can ever be waived! They are Licensing Requirements.
THE IN HOUSE PA AND SOUND ENGINEER
Our in-house equipment includes an eight channel Allan & Heath mixing desk with built in reverb and EQ, a fold back monitor, a four speaker FOH set up, 2X stageline DI boxes, three mics (all SM58s) plus all mic stands and mic leads. We also supply the sound engineer..

A currently shite MySpace page for Midlands UK bands.
The point is to use this page to advertise your gigs and to keep in touch with other likeminded bands in the area without feeling like a complete arse for filling fan pages with junk mail. You know who you are!.
Promotions companies may also join so that if they're looking for bands to play a venue in the Midlands, all they have to do is visit this page for local bands to choose from and they have a full spectrum of sounds.
So if you're a new, up and coming talent in the midlands, whether you're a generic Indie band or Cock Rock band get your name down on the list!!!!!

LHP Records are currently looking to up our profile and are looking for anyone who is running a 'battle of the bands' type competition in the UK.
If you are we want to work with you and offer a prize of a recording contract for the winner.
The competition can be for any genre. The only stipulation is that the band writes and plays their own music.
