    Performing in a living room. No stage, no backstage, no lightshow, no laser bombs and no dressing room, but with a grateful audience that almost sits on your lap: It turns out to be exciting as well as inspiring for many artists, because an audience which entirely opens up for the music usually is a challenge for the singer and his song. The silence and devotion of the audience and the personal atmosphere of the living room makes the performance more intense and honest than one would expect. An artist performing at "LitL" plays two sets of 15 minutes. Usually there are three musicians a night. The voice is not amplified at all and all other instruments will be adjusted to the acoustic volume of the voice. The musicians are asked to keep the instrumentation as limited as possible. It’s all about the singer and the song. Live in the Living is an idea and concept of Dutch singersongwriter Rick Treffers of the band Mist.
