There are very few places on Long Island where original songwriters can showcase their material, and Live in the Lobby is becoming the premier venue for local original music. Live in the Lobby operates with an enthusiastic group of volunteers who book the performers, set up chairs, collect tickets and tend bar. Their passion for the music and love for the Patchogue Theatre make Live in the Lobby a very special venue.

LIVE IN THE LOBBY is a series of concerts for small audiences held in the lobby of the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts(PTPA). The PTPA main auditorium was opened in 1923 and is the largest in Suffolk County with 1166 seats. The lobby privides an intimate alternative for concerts that feature artists from the Long Island area playing a wide variety of original music in a comfortable setting with excellent acoustics. A maximum of 100 tickets are sold, with seating for about 55. The Lobby bar is open and all ages are welcome (proof of age 21 is required for service at the bar).
SHOWTIME 7:30 PM....Advance tickets at the PTPA box office or by phone at 631.207.1313....Remaining tickets will be available at the box office the night of the show.
The Autumn Arts Festival was a really amazing feat! I was astonished at how many restaurants displayed so many different artists to begin with. And the music, poetry and signing in the lobby was beyond anything I anticipated. The volunteers were plentiful and fantastic. The printed material was professiona. When I think back to the very first night of "Alive After five" which I played under the changing traffic light next to the Brickhouse Brewery some years ago and then I fast forward through the many events that I have been involved with or exposed to through the Patchogue Theatre and especially Live in the Lobby, I am really impressed with how dedicated your commitment to the arts, local artists and cultivating community and business for the town has been. And I'm really grateful. I have so many fun, inspiring memories of different Live in the Lobby events! Hydroyum... Jay Scott ... Cathy Kreger... Katie Pearlman ... Parradiddle Records ... and SO many more that I would have never heard if it wasn't for you. My hat goes off to the Patchogue Theatre ... and Christopher Capobianco!
