About me: Hi - I enjoy two roles at Southport Football club. We have an independent supporters trust called Trust in Yellow; for which I am presently the Community Liason Officer - with a responsibility to increase and widen community involvment with the club and the facilities offered. As a Trust we recently invested in a high quality PA system which is now installed in the Grandstand bar and has already been used successefully to run two battles of the bands contests, a children's xmas party and an ongoing series of what are proving to be very popular under 18's live music nights. These are hosted by our 2007 under 18's battle of the bands winners Dominant Species and are held on a monthly basis.
For the club itself I now rejoice in the role of assistant entertainment manager with a particular responsibility for building up the reputation of the Grandstand bar as a recognised venue for live music. To this end we are already listed on nationalgigguide.com which will be updated regularly as events are scheduled.
Who I'd like to meet: Musicians and artists - whether in groups or solo - with an interest in finding out more about what we have to offer at the Grandstand. Also of course - agents and representatives of the above.
We also offer the facilities of the Grandstand bar for private functions and parties and so will gladly pass on any enquiries; which can also be made directly via the official club website.
