Livin' the Music believes that music can and will change the world. We embrace all ages, races, religions, etc. There is no limit to who or what we will help and/or serve. In staying true with this tradition, on Tuesday, December 8th, to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary, we will be hosting a “Chrismahaunukwanzikah” Party. This is going to be a very special event (free to public).
There is no cover charge for this show. However, we will have several options for guests to give back for the holidays. All guests will receive a small gift from Livin' the Music.
Raffle tickets will be sold at the event for $1 (minimum of 5 tickets).Proceeds will benefit Safe Haven Family Shelter in Nashville. We will also have donation buckets which will go to Safe Haven. The mission of Safe Haven Family Shelter is to empower homeless families with children to live independently through financial, social, and faith-based guidance. www.safehaven.org- Prizes include: Local restaurant gift cards (Wine Loft, Maggiano's, Morton's and more), $100 tattoo from blackbird tattoos, painting by Scott Hoerz, Chad Lee photographs, autographed children's books by local authors including Linda Ragsdale, 50% off dog grooming with Little Paws Pet Resort, $100 paint repair on car by DZ Does It, and more!
Soles4Souls will have a shoe collection bin. Please bring your gently worn shoes and donate them. You know that pair of shoes that you have on the floor of your closet? The ones that have only been worn once or twice, but you are always having to step over and are always getting in your way...bring them on the 8th. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it doesn't take much to change a life FOREVER!!! Changing the World One Pair at a Time.™ Soles4Souls has a simple mission: To impact as many lives as possible with the gift of shoes. Soles4Souls facilitates the donations of shoes, which are used to aid the hurting worldwide. www.soles4souls.org
St. Jude will have a Holiday of Hope Tree. You can chose an ornament from this tree and sponsor a treatment for a child. During the holiday season, it can be really tough for families to pay for treatment for their child as well as presents, food, etc. St. Jude's Holiday of Hope Tree gives us a way to help these families and children during the holiday season. The mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay. www.stjude.org

"Making the world a better place, one song at a time..."
Livin’ The Music is a non-profit organization that was founded, in January of 2008, on the idea that music can, and will, change the world. The purpose of Livin’ the Music is to use music to bring light, love & hope to those in need. We produce songwriters nights and events to benefit non-profit organizations that are helping communities and changing lives. It is important to us that these organizations are doing good, honest hard work to make the world a better place. Livin’ the Music wants to do whatever possible to help these organizations achieve their goals.
Over the past year, Livin’ the Music has produced events for the Lili Claire Foundation (helping special needs kids) in Nashville and Los Angeles, for The Los Angeles Inner-city Lacrosse Association (teaching inner-city kids Lacrosse) in Los Angeles, for The Voice of the Wetlands (coastal conservation in Louisiana) in Baton Rouge, LA, for CAN-DO (providing disaster relief world-wide, hurricane relief in Louisiana) in Baton Rouge, for Soles4Souls (providing shoes to those in need) in Nashville, and for The Ethel Precht HOPE Breast Cancer Foundation in Lake Charles, LA (providing support for local cancer patients, survivors and their families).
Livin’ the Music strives to help these organizations achieve their individual missions by encouraging and providing a way for the artists and the local community to get involved through special projects such as shoe-drives (Soles4Souls), re-building efforts (CAN-DO and Silver-Lining-Foundation), children’s programs (The Lili Claire Foundation and YMCA) and support groups (St. Patrick Hospital Palliative Care).
Livin’ the Music’s involvement doesn’t end with the event. Some of our artists, personnel and volunteers are also involved in on-going projects with The Lili Claire Foundation’s Nashville and Los Angeles family resource centers, CAN-DO’s hurricane relief efforts in Southern Louisiana, Silver-Lining-Foundation in Cameron Parish Louisiana, the YMCA in Lake Charles, LA and Project MuszEd’s Camp CASM in Los Angeles.
We have a growing network of gifted songwriters whose music has a positive message, who believe music can, and will, change the world. It is incredibly inspiring to find people from all walks of life, across all genres of music, with the same message of optimism. Livin’ the Music would love for you to join us as we spread this energy and awareness. We are looking forward to you joining us in our mission. Music is the vehicle for the message.
Please help us make the world a better place, one song at a time.
LTM is currently accepting submissions for Singer/Songwriters, Sponsorships & Non-Profit Organizations. Whatever your gift, we look forward to having you join LTM in our mission. For more information on how you can help, please send an email to info@livinthemusic.org.

Hi LIVIN THE MUSIC! Heaven & Earth is on hiatus now as Stuart Smith and Richie Onori have joined forces with bassist Steve Priest to reform "Sweet". For those of you unfamiliar with the band, Sweet originally formed in the early 70s and went on to sell over 40,000,000 albums with 11 International Top Ten Hits such as "Ballroom Blitz", "Little Willy", "Love is Like Oxygen", "Fox on the Run", "Teenage Rampage", "Action", "Blockbuster", "Hellraiser" and many others. This reincarnation of the band reformed last year, playing their first show in June, and went on to play festivals throughout Canada and the States and had played to over 300,000 people before the year was out. During this tour last year they recorded a live CD available on Amazon entitled "Sweet, Live in America" which has received rave reviews - pick up a copy and please Add Sweet As Your Friend On Myspace! http://www.myspace.com/thesweetband Also, check out our friend Red Hot Chili Pepper Chad Smith's new band, Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats and their iTunes Top 10 Funk/Jazz debut release, "Meet the Meatbats"! http://www.myspace.com/bombasticmeatbats
