About me:
I am a lively chatterbox from Plymouth!
I have always wanted to be a model but i started to think about it more when I was 11. If modelling wasn't an option for me I would probably work in the travel industry to get lots of cheap holidays; as I did a two year travel and tourism course.
I am looking forward to Britain's Next Top Model, mostly for all of the different photo shoots because they always look really fun. I'm also excited about meeting with people who have worked with top models and done a lot of amazing things.
Q&A with Mecia
In your opinion, which of the girls, if any, won’t be able to cut it in the modelling world?
I don't think that Chloe could cut it in the modelling world because she hasn't really got the bone structure for a fashion model. I don't think she could handle the harshness of the model industry because she is quite young and naive for her age.
Were you surprised that any particular girl was in the competition?
When I first saw Maddie I was quite surprised she was in the competition because I didn’t think she looked like a typical fashion model.
Which was your favourite photoshoot and why?
I have a couple of favourite shoots!! Even though my photo didn't come out too well on the underwater shoot, I really enjoyed doing it because I love water. I really like all of the shoots I did with Huggy because she's so motivational and passionate and the photos came out great. I especially loved the Evita photoshoot as it was my last chance to impress the judges. I put everything that I had learnt throughout the series into that last shoot and I think I nailed it.
What's your most memorable moment from Britain's Next Top Model?
My most memorable moment was winning!! Of course!! Other great moments were; the boot camp, going into the house for the first time, and being told that I was one of the final 5 who would be going to Buenos Aires, it was soooooooooooooo exciting!!
Tell us about your experience on Britain’s Next Top Model?
The whole experience of being in Britain's Next Top Model was AMAZING, the best thing I could have ever done. It was just this massive whirlwind of fun that went by so quickly. I felt so lucky to be there and meeting all these amazing people and having that taster of what it would be like in the modelling industry.
Even though it was cold I really enjoyed bootcamp and meeting all the girls. It was so much fun being in the house. Of course it had its ups and downs, I had a couple of arguments but that's bound to happen when you're in a house full of girls and I did miss home. But I would not have changed this experience for the world, it was just really fun knowing that we were going to be doing something different everyday but we didn't have a clue what.
Do you have a message that you'd like to give to all your supporters?
This experience has made me realise that good things do happen when you follow your dreams, so I have to say that if any of you have a dream no matter how big or small then you should go for it. I was just a girl that worked in a sandwich shop who wanted to be a model but never thought I was good enough for it, but I followed my dream and now I am BRITAIN'S NEXT TOP MODEL.
I would like to thank all my supporters because you're all amazing and if you have a dream never give up on fighting for it, because you can make a lot of good things happen if you put your heart into it.
Do you have any advice for people wanting to be models?
I would say to anybody who wants to be a model to go for it. But you need to be prepared for turn downs and it can be very hard. I had a lot of turn downs and it isn't very nice, but it always depends on what look the client or agency is looking for. So if you think that you are strong enough and you want it that bad then I think that you should definitely go for it. Modelling is a very fun thing to do and I would recommend it to everyone, it makes you so confident being on shoots and the catwalks.
Who I'd like to meet:
I would love to meet Beyonce because she's AMAZING! I love her and her music.
