It's about 8:00 on a Friday night and there's a packed
room filled with different characters. It’s a
mixture of young and old, baggy jeans and not so baggy
jeans, spiked hair and shaved heads. Although they are
from different backgrounds and cultures, the entire
crowd is vibrant and excited about something...
"Do you hear that? It sounds like an Uprising!" The
words echo out from the speakers as the video on the
screen fades out. A blaring guitar line cuts through
all other noise and the room stands in anticipation.
This is not a rock concert or a night out in some
Hollywood club... It’s the sanctuary of Living Bread
Ministries, and the audience is not cheering for the band
on the stage, they're cheering for something more -
something bigger!
They're cheering because God is in their midst!
They're cheering because it's a spiritual UPRISING!
Held every month, Uprising aims to exalt the ever-living savior, Jesus Christ and at the same time have fun. The night consists of food, games, videos, live music, and fellowship with other people. Uprising’s mission is to lead people to God’s kingdom, to spread the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ. Everyone is welcome. Believers and non-believers alike come to experience the living God. So come and celebrate with us the glory of God this month. ..

The Soldiers of the Son or S.O.S is the youth and young adults ministry of Living Bread in Carson. They are responsible for organizing and facilitating Uprising every month. But of course, all the praises go back to God, our Lord and savior. Without Him, the S.O.S. is just a bunch of bored youngins.

-Before you go out and celebrate halloween especially for believers in Christ! Read Deuteronomy 18:9-14 (New King James Version), which speaks of avoiding wicked customs.
