Mobile Recording
Living Sound is a local favorite and the go-to-company for many musicians and organizations in the Sacramento area. Whether it's a live concert to be recorded or a recording session in the comfort of your home, practice studio, or office, Living Sound can provide that studio-quality sound you wouldn't expect from a live performance or mobile location.
Live Classical Music
We have extensive experience recording live classical music, including chamber music, choral music, and even full orchestras. We work very closely with the Sac State Music department to record many of the recitals that occur on a daily basis. We also have developed a close relationship with the Sacramento Choral Society, for whom we record all of their concerts at the Mandavi Center and Community Center Theater. Many churches have sought us out for their choir and orchestra performances and have been pleasantly surprised by our superior quality.

Live Bands
Living Sound has the capability and know-how to produce excellent recordings of bands performing live with the use of close-mic'ing techniques and multi-tracking. By combining our live sound services with our live multi-tracking we can provide a fully tracked recording using the same mics that are used for sound reinforcement, eliminating the need for two mics on each musician. The end result is astounding.

Living Sound has also perfected a cost-effective and non-intrusive way of obtaining excellent recordings of bands performing live in clubs and concerts. By combining a live feed from the mixer with two high-quality room mics strategically placed in front of the band (usually hung from the ceiling), and careful post-production, we can achieve great results at an excellent price.

Mobile Studio
Living Sound has produced many full length CD's for all types of clientèle, including Rock/Pop, Jazz, Dixieland, Classical, Salsa, and more. We have a fully mobile recording studio which sets up in under an hour. In addition to recording at Living Sound's studio, we recorded these albums in school band rooms, churches, colleges, living rooms, and even garages.
