All the members of Livingstones have a similar background.We all got saved around the same time (1996-1997). Being moved by the inspiring music coming from the Christian world, we were drawn to the worship team at our church and joined it shortly after getting saved. In the past, we had played music in secular bands, now, it was clear that our mission was to reach the world through music the way Jesus Christ had reached us through music. Being on the Worship team for the last 10 years has had an influence on the songs that we play and the Spirit that we play them in. Not long after we started on the worship team Joe Nashatka and Jamie Pine started Livingstones. Jami Pine being lead man (Lead guitar and lead vocal) and Joe on acoustic guitar. Sean Chubb was on drums and Jason Roth on bass. A few years later Jamie left to minister elsewhere and Joel Raub (drummer for New Life Vineyard Church in Midland) began playing drums. Which moved Joe up to Lead vocal, Sean to bass and Jason to lead guitar. We were also very blessed for a short time to have an great keyboard player on our team. Kyle Reed's talents can be heard on our new cd "Don't run away". Unfortunately, Sean recently moved to Ohio in spring '08 but he(though irreplaceable) was quickly replaced by our new bass player, Jeff Schock (bass player for New Life Vineyard church) from Midland. Gary Meyers is another new band member from Midland. He and Brandy (Joe's wife) make up the back up vocals and occasionally do some lead vocals. As a band we have ministered on TV(see story at bottom) in colleges, high schools, churches, a few bars and Big Ticket Festival where we ministered the Gospel to the lost. We currently have our first cd available and our second cd which is titled "Don't run away" should be available the beginning of October. We are excited about what God is doing and where He is taking us. We strongly believe in making God's Word the center of our lives. We believe that music is a vehicle to spread God's Word and to spread the good news of God's love. Our focus is to minister to the lost and lift up the Body of Christ. Our vision is to work though the local church to do outreach events and encourage believers to continue in preaching the kingdom to the lost!.. In 2001, CATS(Christian Artist Talent Search) came to Michigan. Livingstones participated, and we were invited to compete on the national level! Extremely excited, we loaded up our van and headed to North Carolina, where we were judged by Bob Carlisle (Butterfly Kisses). Let me tell you, there were some VERY talented people there!
