Professionally trained producer/engineer Reuben MacCalla founded Livin Out Loud along with his sister Sylvia MacCalla, who is an accomplished stage performer in 1999. Later they teamed up with their older brother and businessman Thomas to launch the label Kin Productions, releasing Livin Out Louds self-titled debut album which was musically rooted in Soulful RnB, Funk and Jazz. The songs were primarily written and performed by Reuben and Sylvia, with support on the live performances from long time friends and vocalists Lisa LaShawn (who is known for her studio work with various producers including Diane Warren) and J. Martini.

Jay Collins and Mark Wagstaff AKA The Funk Junkies are Djs, producers and promoters from the north of England. Their club event 'charged' is one of the UK's fastest growing house brands throwing regular sell out parties across England, Malta and Ibiza. Last year saw the guys move up a gear and begin producing. In little under 12 months their productions have gained support from the likes of Steve Angello, Deepgroove, Sonny Wharton and more. The Funk Junkies first release on Elektriqa is a double A side. First up is Fragile, a peak time record with a simple yet hypnotic riff that definitely crosses musical boundaries. Gush, on the other hand is a dubby, twisted progressive house bomb graced with a tight and catchy lead. Keep an eye out for more Funk Junkies productions forthcoming on Elektriqa.
