I don't have a favorite movie but i like comedies, love stories and sociological thrillers
Television

Books
One of my favourite books is a small daily meditation for people of color by Iyanla Vanzant, titled 'Acts of Faith'. Its a collection of meditative statements to help us keep body and soul whole.
About me: Elizabeth Benka-Davies started off doing some work experience after graduating with a BA Hons Degree at The Surrey Institute of Art & Design at Bryan Morel PR, who provide a PR & Marketing service and events for fashion designers such as John Rocha, Betty Jackson, Phillip Treacey and Ben de Lisi. Then Elizabeth worked as a Marketing and Promotions Assistant, which entailed writing artist biographies, compiling press cuttings & sending out press packs on artists like Jamelia, Beverley Knight and Morgan Heritage too national & regional press, radio stations & universities around the UK. After a few months Elizabeth project-managed an event for Carnival 99’ and teamed with Nomski (presenter/producer and dj), held in a club called OPEN, formally known as Club Rouge & SIN, situated on Charing Cross Road, London. From August 1999 to July 2000, Elizabeth designed a mock website for ‘Noel Mckoy’, which was part of her final year project whilst completing her BA. During this period and after Elizabeth assisted Noel McKoy with a monthly event called ‘The Dutch Pot’ at Subterrania, now known as Neighbourhood in Ladbroke Grove’. This was a night fused with musicians, singer/songwriters, bands, painters and poets. This particular night was filmed by MTV and became a launch pad for up-and-coming musicians, singer-songwriters and other artists to perform in front of a live audience. This inspired her to launch her own monthly music night titled 'Organic Soul' during December 2000 to 2003, held at @Club Cohiba in Camberwell Grove. In March 2002 until November 2002, Elizabeth worked as a Freelance Project Administrator at The Midi Music Company in Deptford (Youth Project), providing admin support for all course programmes and performances. She also had the opportunity to co-ordinate ‘Summer in the City Master Classes’, which was in collaboration with LWT and Choice fm and took place in venues around the London boroughs. Elizabeth has booked artists such as Goldie, Shovell from M People, Michael Groce, Angie LeMar and Trix Worrell to take part. After her contract ended, Elizabeth worked on another youth project for Black History Month with Lewisham Arts Services & The Albany Stage, as Project Coordinator. Elizabeth coordinated Cafe area for visual arts exhibition and information stalls and liaised with groups, youth projects, organisations and schools to participate in exhibition. As well as book live music performers and artists to perform on the day. Elizabeth has since worked with government/local authorities organizing small-scaled events, booking local talent and artists alike from the borough. From July 2003 to present day, Elizabeth worked with House Fm and was part of their management committee and then crossed over to www.pushfm.com. Whilst on pushfm Elizabeth has assisted in organising their events, club promotions, advertising and occasionally organise guest slots for their dj’s to interview. Elizabeth has been fortunate to establish a good working relationship with www.Pushfm.com and manage a few of their dj’s. So, as you can see Elizabeth’s skills and experiences are varied with a natural ability to work efficiently and professionally with artists, management, promoters and other business professionals

As of 3 years ago New Orleans was my home. I was abruptly uprooted as a result of Hurricane Katrina. So you can only imagine how heavy my heart feels this weekend watching the city preparing for the possibility of being hit by a similar sized storm. Yet I am filled with gratitude as I know that I am equipped with the ability to help those that are going to need assistance as a result of the storm. No matter where this storm hits, those there are going to need help. I am proudly announcing that I am coordinating concerts/seminars around the United States to benefit victims in need. This is resulting from my recently published book (The Remains of Hurricane Katrina), and my dream of one day being able to help victims of all types. The first of these events is being planned in New Mexico to benefit their domestic violence victims. I am asking all singers, bands and anyone that can help with these events to contact me as soon as possible. We need all the participation and help that we can acquire. The events are going to have to occur as soon as possible. Please refer to my site for further information or contact me as soon as possible, no matter who you are, if you want to help. It is true, only good results from helping others. It makes dreams come true. Sandra Speer International Marketing Consultant/Promoter Author-The Remains of Hurricane Katrina 954.718. 0733
