About me:
I love watching film and the craft facinates me. I started writing on myspace to improve my writing skills. I am working on a screenplay. I actually would like someone to disagree with my reviews so we can debate. Debate and critcal thinking is important and a skill that people are losing in this day and age. I also like to make lists of films that you may have not seen. Cinema is one of the last true art forms that crosses boundaries and expand horizons. Movies will be the legacy of modern mankind. They will still be around long after we are gone. It is up to us as movie goers to demand quality product and spread the word when we do find a film that makes us stir in some way.

A Darren Aronofsky fan is not a good thing to be when the Academy puts their heads together. I feel your pain.

At least Mickey Rourke got a nod. I still recall THE FOUNTAIN received zero noms; a travesty in its own right even when you overlook the fact that Clint Mansell put up one of the best scores of the decade.

That's alright. Awards aside, you and I are here to keep excellent artists like that in business.
Cheers!

Oh crap! I'm still subscribed, but I missed a ton of your blogs. I have like 50 subscriptions, so it is hard to sift through them all. Anyways, I read it and Thanks! I know it isn't that great, but I'm still amused by the film myself.

And actually, that final gore shot was probably the cheapest thing of all. Our SFX guys ditched us halfway through production, so we had to improvise. A friend of the production, who had ZERO experience, built that dummy himself using a ski suit, fake blood, balloon, and some other things. Genius. I think we talked about it in the commentary.

Which one? He shot one in Louisiana, then in Seattle, and I think he is getting back from Florida soon. He has a bunch of stuff coming out. Latest thing we're working on is a theatrical screening of PocaHauntus.

You are a dear. Thanks for watching the film. Were you drunk at the time? I'm going to assume you were completely sober which would explain why you didn't comment on it.
