We sold out all three days!!!
Our guests from North and South of the border loved both The Orange House and Joe King Carrasco. Our Lizard Joe's BBQ was also a huge success. We cooked over 70 kilos of Brisket, Pulled Pork and Argentine Sausage, 9 gallons of Potato Salad, Texas Beans and Mac N Cheese and no left overs WOW!!! We also managed to consume 15 liters of Tequila, 5 liters of Rum, 34 cases of cervesa and 5 gallons of Sweet Tea.
Given this was our premier event, the ticket price included not only the live band performance but all you could eat BBQ and an open bar.

Lizard Joe's Hotel, Beach Bar and Grill will be located very close to the Port of Progreso which hosts two or more cruise ships each week. Lizard Joe's is just a 10 minute drive away and even less if traveling by Jet Ski.
So far we have the company incorporated, have purchased almost 10k sq ft of property in the town of Chelem Yucatan Mexico with about 45 ft of beach front. We now have the architectural drawings and have selected our contractor, hurray! However, the exiting Governor of the Yucatan passed a new "beach" law that affects where our building lines are (good for the environment but causing us to re-validate and alter the blueprints once we learn where the new building lines are). Therefore, are target date for breaking ground has now moved from April to June 2008 but again, nothing moves fast in Mexico, especially us!
Lizard Joe's will feature a Beach Bar and Grill specializing in tequila, Texas BBQ and the sounds of Joe King Carrasco ay ay ay. Our beach front will have showers for hotel and restaurant guests to wash off after a relaxing day at the beach.
The Hotel will feature a reception area with paperback book library, Wireless Internet, gift & sundries shop, a total of 5 to 7 beach front guest rooms and three other rooms above the beach bar. The lodging area will also feature an outdoor community kitchen for guest who may want to grill any fresh fish they caught, (if not we'll let you in the kitchen). Of course alot of this is likely to change due to the new "beach" law?
