...punk/rock n' roll/metal/traditonal. The Stooges are there, as are the Pogues, but the tunes would seem to have one foot in fifties rock n' roll and another in dumb metal - Liam,from 'Funzo'.
Liz Is Evil formed at an open mic session in early 2007. They began playing shows soon after and were gracing TV screens within months. Those TV stints drew the attention of RTE and the band were invited to record live for Dan Hegarty's radio show, as well as performing to a large audience on the 2fm 2moro 2our - a showcase tour for both successful and emerging bands.
Their demo received Hot Press magazine 'Pick of the Fortnight' which led to nationwide air play and also in the States. Liz Is Evil were called on to play a very 'special' headline performace for Hard Working Class Heroes '09 - a showcase festival for emerging Irish acts.
Their debut EP has been getting rave radio and magazine reviews (below) and plenty of airplay with the single 'Beached' a favourite. Liz Is Evil have been spreading their raw brand of music at festivals all over as well as hopping over and back to the U.K.

Ha, no problem Liz Is Evil. Nah she is the only Liz i know so far but if i meet any more i will definately let them know. She really is sort of evil though, nice and bubbly on the surface but has a real menacing evil underbelly.
